Bruxism (Teeth Clenching/Grinding)

Bruxism is the excessive grinding of the teeth and/or the excessive clenching of the jaw. People can clench and grind without being aware of it during both the day and night.  A dentist can usually see visible signs of the damage it causes to the biting surfaces of the teeth, particularly the molars, and bruxism may contribute to jaw muscle pain, TMJ pain and even headaches.
